Villa Sundara

Tired of flipping through endless images of sterile L-shaped villas? I think we’ve found a special place here in Villa Sundara, and we’re delighted to share it with you. Villa Sundara is a spacious two bedroom villa with everything you would expect from a comfortable private rental – good beds, good showers, a real kitchen, modern appliances, an air-conditioned entertainment room/lounge, and a very tempting pool. But then you have the little points of difference, the generous proportions and high ceilings, the brick and stone work, the landscaping, the homely rather than hotel-like feeling, that really sets Sundara apart from the throng of villas on the market that were quite obviously built to spec, rather than with the generous spirit we all love about Bali.

Villa Sundara is located in Jalan Pungutan, in the northern end of Sanur, a short walk to Sindhu Night Market and Pantai Sindhu (Sindhu Beach), home to favourites such as Luhtu’s, Tootsie’s, Soul on the Beach, and Kayumanis. The main road of Sanur, Jalan Danau Tamblingan, is a few minutes’ walk away, with plenty of taxis and bimos (the little green open-door vans) passing by to take you to your favourite shops and eating spots. Don’t overlook the local eateries outside the door, however, as there’s a few nice spots including a great bakery and some of the cheapest eats in the town just outside your door.

Villa Sundara is a little bit different, a little bit special, yet a little bit familiar. We like to think it reminds you that you’re in Bali, but doesn’t confuse ‘old world charm’ with just plain ‘old’ or worn out. We’ve tried to think of every modern necessity and a few extras you might want.
